I like using natural products in my home as much as possible, especially around my food. I was excited to try out Sagano’s Natural Activated Charcoal Odor Remover and Air Purifier. People have been using charcoal as a natural, renewable odor remover for many years.
KEEPS FOOD FRESH
Because activated charcoal is very porous it absorbs odors, mold spores and other contaminants from your refrigerator. This helps your food to stay fresh longer and your fridge smelling better.
This odor absorber can be reactivated naturally when needed by removing it from the package and sitting the bag outside in the sun. The activated charcoal will recharge in a few hours of sunlight. This bag should last up to 2 years by using this method.
I have been using my deodorizer/purifier in my fridge for over a week now and it seems to be doing a great job. I thought I would put it to the real test and see how it does with fresh-cut onion!
I put my freshly cut onion uncovered in the fridge. I went back later to check to see how it smells now in the refrigerator. When I opened the door I was surprised that I didn’t smell onion. I then opened the door to the freezer and could smell a slight onion aroma.
I removed the onion from the fridge and shut the door. I went back and checked the freezer later and no more onion smell at all on either the freezer or refrigerator side.
You can see in the picture above that there are air vents all over the container to let the air flow through the charcoal with ease.
“FAMILY PACKED – All seeds are grown, harvested, and hand packed in the USA in small quantities by our family.”
Non-GMO Organic Heirloom Seeds
EcoFarms Organic Vegetable Seeds are hand packed into each cute little tube and then boxed up ready to give as a gift or to keep and enjoy yourself.
“We hand pack each tube with enough organic seeds to create a beautiful home garden. The seeds have a high germination rate because we pack our boxes in small lots and since our heirloom kits rarely sit on the shelves for more than a few weeks– they are always fresh.”
The kit includes
Tendersweet Carrot (50-70 seeds) Red Burgundy Onion (50-70 seeds) Golden Beauty Corn (7-12 seeds) Long Purple Eggplant (40-50 seeds) Delikatesse Cucumber (10-15 seeds) Brandywine Tomato (15-20 seeds) California Wonder Pepper (30-40 seeds) Calabrese Broccoli (50-60 seeds) Great Lakes 118 Lettuce (30-40 seeds) Utah 5270 Celery (50-60 seeds
Buying organic vegetables can get expensive. Can you imagine walking out to your garden and picking whatever you want at almost no charge. (Accept a lot of hard work and sweat 😊)
I am always hearing how wonderful dry brushing is and I never get around to trying it. I get a little intimidated and think I am going to do something wrong. Everyone says to brush towards your heart, some say circles, some say long strokes up your arms and legs, and then when you get to your stomach you do something different. It was all just all to confusing to me.
When I got the opportunity to try SHIR HOME’s Bath Body Brush & Anti Cellulite Massager set I told myself now you are going to learn how to do it.
The set from SHIR HOME comes with two pieces. You get a double-sided dry brush with a massager on the other side. Use the dry brush before you get into the shower while the brush and your skin is dry. The brush feels a little rough at first, but then you get use to it and your skin starts to tingle and feel alive and wonderful. The long handle makes it easier to do your back and shoulders. I hate I waited this long to try dry brushing.
Second you get a Anti-Cellulite Massager that fits on your hand. You use this while in the shower and use a anti-cellulite cream or oil to help with lubrication. If not this massager sticks to your skin and can be painful. You want to be able to massage the areas for a few minutes to get the lymph drainage.
This was my first time making homemade foaming hand soap. I had no idea how easy and fun it would be to make own. It really felt like I performed a magic trick when I pumped that soap pump and this beautiful billowy white puff of soap filled my hand!
Cove Unscented Pure & Vegan Castile Soap
Made From Certified Organic Plant Oils
You need to start with a good organic soap base. I am using an unscented Castile soap by Cove. This Castile soap is vegan, organic and free of detergents, foaming agents, chemicals, fragrances, and animal products.
Unlike other castile soaps, we don’t use palm kernel oil because its cultivation leads to the destruction of our rainforests. Ours is a simpler soap with a smaller ecological footprint. –Cove
Cove has also added Certified Organic Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Hemp Oil, Olive Oil, and Vegetable Glycerin to their Castile soap to make it more moisturizing. I still add a little more V-6 oil because I really want my foaming soap to be extra moisturizing.
Organic Foaming Hand Soap DIY Recipe
Add all your ingredients to your foaming soap dispenser and give a little swish to combine the ingredients. I usually give my dispenser a swish everyday to make sure the ingredients stay combined, because water and oil tends to separate.
