I love having my own unique piece of handblown glass art. I am so thankful that Bib & Sola offered to send me this decanter to use and review, if I would pay the shipping. I am enjoying using it and it is a beautiful addition to my glassware.

It’s always nice to do a little something special when you have a friend come visit. Using this decanter was not only a great conversation starter but it made the moment feel special. It was nice to sit out on the porch and serve cool water out of my one-of-a-kind piece of art decanter. I just used two small clear water glasses that I already own, because I don’t have the matching tumblers

It is the perfect size for a bedside water decanter. I always wake up thirsty in the middle of the night, and I don’t want to get up and go to the kitchen. I always have a glass of water by my bed. The decanter is much prettier than a plain water-glass. The perfect item to add to a guest room to pamper your guest.

I am using my own glass, but this decanter does have a matching glass tumbler.

 

Holds 1.2 L 

The decanter has a nice long neck, to hold while pouring, with a little pouring lip built into the top rim. It holds 1.2 L of liquid, and has a nice weight to it. The glass has a good thickness to it, and does not appear to be thin or fragile. I like the pop of color that was hand blown into the bottom of the decanter making each one distinct.

Naturalize Shiatsu Neck Shoulder Massager With Heat Review 

I have  never tried a Shiatsu Neck Shoulder Massager before so I really didn’t know what to expect.  I soon found out that Shiatsu Massage is quite intense and deep. Since I am not used to that kind of rough massage I found it to be a little painful and the massager is a bit heavy and awkward.

Since I don’t have a lot of experience I thought I should take the massager to someone who knows what they are doing.  My step-mother is a massage therapist so she knows all about it. I took the massager to her house and she tried it and liked it. She likes a deep Shiatsu massage and doesn’t mind the pain. A friend was also there that has a very, very  bad neck  and wanted to try it out . She thought the massager was  WONDERFUL and it really helped to loosen up her neck.

This massager uses eight silicone kneading balls plus a bi-direction movement that mimics the feeling of a personal massage with or without heat.  When the heat is on the balls glow red.

The Naturalize Shiatsu Neck and Shoulder Massager has two sleeves that you put your arms through and rest the massager on your neck and shoulders. With your arms in the sleeves you can control where you want the massager on your back or shoulders.

Under the flap of the sleeve you will find the control panel to turn on the massager and operate the heat and reverse functions. After a certain amount of time the massager will automatically switch directions or you can manually switch the direction of the massaging  balls when you want.  The Shiatsu Neck Shoulder Massager has four different massage modes.

The massager can be used on different parts of your body. The instruction book that comes with the unit has pictures showing how to use it.  One way is to turn the sleeves inside out and use the velcro strap to secure it around your waist like a belt. This makes it easy to massage your lower back.

The Cons

For my overall review I would say if you don’t like painful deep massages this is NOT the massager for you.

The massager has to be plugged in when in use and the power cord is  a bit short. You have to stay close to an outlet to use it, and it unplugs very easy. I would accidentally unplug it when I moved around.

If you are sitting in a chair and lean back too hard the massaging balls will stop rotating.

The massage unit is heavy and a little awkward to use.

It takes awhile for the heat to heat up, and it doesn’t get very warm.

I have been using my deodorizer/purifier in my fridge for over a week now and it seems to be doing a great job. I thought I would put it to the real test and see how it does with fresh-cut onion!

I put my freshly cut onion uncovered in the fridge. I went back later to check to see how it smells now in the refrigerator. When I opened the door I was surprised that I didn’t smell onion. I then opened the door to the freezer and could smell a slight onion aroma.

I removed the onion from the fridge and shut the door. I went back and checked the freezer later and no more onion smell at all on either the freezer or refrigerator side.

You can see in the picture above that there are air vents all over the container to let the air flow through the charcoal with ease.

I give this product 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am always hearing how wonderful dry brushing is and I never get around to trying it. I get a little intimidated and think I am going to do something wrong. Everyone says to brush towards your heart, some say circles, some say long strokes up your arms and legs, and then when you get to your stomach you do something different. I hate I waited this long to try dry brushing.

Being from the South I love to drink a big old glass sweet iced tea! It’s usually too hot to drink a cup of hot tea. So, I haven’t had much experience making hot tea, much less using a loose leaf tea infuser.

Stay away from Epichlorohydrin

After reading this article on Mercola.com “Plastic and Cancerous Compounds in Tea Bags—A Surprising Source of Potential Toxins” I thought I might want to try using a loose leaf tea infuser to make my tea with. Click the link and learn about things to watch for when buying tea bags, even organic tea may have a toxic tea bag. Make sure your tea bag does NOT contain epichlorohydrin.

I don’t have any loose leaf tea, but I do have organic tea in tea bags. So I cut open the tea bag and dumped the contents into the infuser baskets. The baskets are made from a high quality, rust-free 304 grade stainless steel, and have lots of very tiny holes for the tea and water to infuse.

Line up the lid and twist to lock the lid to the basket so it will stay secure and keep the loose tea inside the basket  during the steeping process.

Add some hot water, adjust the temperature of the water  according to the type of tea you are steeping.

Hook the cup hook at the end of the chain to the side of your glass so you can easily remove the tea infuser after the proper steeping time.

 I used very finely ground tea from a tea bag, so  there is a little of the “tea dust” floating in my water. It is really not that much.  This is a great way to use the tea you already have without the bag.

Do It Yourself Organic Foaming Hand Soap

This was my first time making homemade foaming hand soap.  I had no idea how easy and fun it would be to make own. It really felt like I performed a magic trick when I pumped that soap pump and this beautiful billowy white puff of soap filled my hand!

 

Cove Unscented Pure & Vegan Castile Soap

Made From Certified Organic Plant Oils

 You need to start with a good organic soap base. I am using an unscented Castile soap by Cove.  This Castile soap is vegan, organic and free of detergents, foaming agents,  chemicals, fragrances, and animal products.

Unlike other castile soaps, we don’t use palm kernel oil because its cultivation leads to the destruction of our rainforests. Ours is a simpler soap with a smaller ecological footprint. –Cove

Cove has also added Certified Organic Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil,  Hemp Oil,  Olive Oil,  and Vegetable Glycerin to their Castile soap to make it more moisturizing. I still add a little more V-6 oil because I really want my foaming soap to be extra moisturizing.

Add all your ingredients to your foaming soap dispenser and give a little swish to combine the ingredients. I usually give my dispenser a swish everyday to make sure the ingredients stay combined, because water and oil tends to separate.

Spaghetti with Beef and Zoodles

I love spaghetti but I can’t handle the gluten in the pasta. I have tried the gluten-free ones, but they really raise my blood sugar. I have heard about the “zoodles” or noodles make out of zucchini.

Here is a little video of me making my zucchini noodles with the WonderEsque Spiralizer.

Now the simple recipe

I made my sauce the usual way.  ⇒A jar of organic sauce from the store.⇐ ☺️ added some cooked grass-fed ground beef and let  it simmer on the stove while I made my zoodles.

I didn’t cook my zoodles because I knew the hot sauce would. I wanted them to stay firm like an aldente noodle. Plus raw is better for you.

The zucchini noodles did release some moisture when the sauce cooked them a little, but that was okay.

So it was a simple as that. No cook and gluten-free noodles for your spaghetti sauce.

Dashboard Cell Phone Holder Review

I was sent this cell phone holder for free in exchange for my honest review.  

I am having a little trouble deciding on how many stars to give this phone holder on my Amazon review and here on my blog. I had quite a bit of trouble getting the phone holder to stick to my dashboard. I removed the sticky gel pad and flipped it over to see if the other side was more sticky. As it turns out it was more sticky. I was able to get the phone holder to stick to my dash. YAY!

I check it the next day and it seemed like it was stuck pretty good. I drove around and did a few errands and it stayed in place and was very useful.  There are two groves in the holder where you can adjust the tilt of your phone or GPS. You can do this easily with one hand as stated in the description on Amazon.

My iPhone 6 Plus with a case fit perfectly in the phone holder. My case makes my phone too big for some other cell phone holders I have tried. So, that is a plus that my phone fit.

In the description on Amazon it says,

  • Strong Sticky Silicone Gel is REUSABLE (Simply use water clean away dust from the adhesive gel pad before reusing)

I didn’t have much luck with removing the holder from my dash and t getting it to stick to the dash again. I washed it water, like suggested, and it still would not stick. I wiped it really well with an alcohol wipe and it still was not going to stick to my dash again.

But, I really like using the cell phone holder in the house on my desk or my nightstand,  anywhere I want to stand my phone up. This is very convenient for using FaceTime or Tango. I like watching YouTube videos etc, and I can do that hands free, and still be able to see the screen.

So this is my dilemma. As a car dashboard cell phone holder I would have to give a low star rating. As a phone holder where is doesn’t have to use the sticky gel, it’s  great.  Since this review is for a dashboard car mount I will have to go with the 2 stars.

Expert Chef Potato Ricer Review

Expert Chef Potato Ricer

I love being a Grandma and helping my daughter take care of my grandson. It’s very important to us that he has a healthy diet including lots of fresh and organic fruits and veggies. Elliot, my grandson, is ten months old so he still needs to eat soft foods like potatoes. I was really grateful to get a chance to try out this commercial grade Potato Ricer so I could make some homemade baby food for him.

The potato ricer can rice potatoes, carrots, turnips, cauliflower, pumpkin, butternut squash, parsnips and many more fruits and vegetables according to the Amazon description. I made some boiled potatoes and put them in the ricer and beautiful fluffy potatoes came out of the Ricer, I mixed them with a little formula and a tiny bit of organic butter and pink Himalayan salt and Elliot loved them! That was easy. Then I tried to rice some cooked broccoli, which was not on the list of veggies from Expert Chef, and that did not work out very well. The broccoli was too fibrous and all the Potato Ricer really did was squeeze the juice out. I am looking forward to trying out different fruits and veggies. I think I may try some cooked apples to make an applesauce with a little cinnamon.
