I love spaghetti but I can’t handle the gluten in the pasta. I have tried the gluten-free ones, but they really raise my blood sugar. I have heard about the “zoodles” or noodles make out of zucchini.
Zoodles
zoodles
Here is a little video of me making my zucchini noodles with the WonderEsque Spiralizer.
Now the simple recipe
I made my sauce the usual way. ⇒A jar of organic sauce from the store.⇐ ☺️ added some cooked grass-fed ground beef and let it simmer on the stove while I made my zoodles.
I didn’t cook my zoodles because I knew the hot sauce would. I wanted them to stay firm like an aldente noodle. Plus raw is better for you.
The zucchini noodles did release some moisture when the sauce cooked them a little, but that was okay.
look at that “noodley” goodness
So it was a simple as that. No cook and gluten-free noodles for your spaghetti sauce.

I couldn’t wait to open up my bag of raw cacao powder from Freedom Super Foods. Inside the bag was this beautiful fine, silky smooth chocolate powder. Yum… It smelled heavenly!
I had to taste it right out of the bag. I didn’t know what to expect since it was unsweetened and raw cacao powder. It wasn’t bad. It had a nice dark chocolaty rich flavor.
I thought to myself “I need to make some brownies!”
When you order your bag of raw cacao powder you will also get an e-book with some recipes in it. There is a brownie recipe included but it has gluten in it. I needed a Paleo recipe for brownies, so I researched online and tested a few recipes and came up with my own super moist and chocolaty Paleo gluten-free brownie recipe. I hope you love these brownies as much as I do. I really love the flavor the raw cacao powder gives the brownies plus I feel good about all the nutrients, flavonoids and antioxidants that are in the cacao powder.

I did it. I just made my very first batch ofwhipped shea butter. I was really intimidated at the thought of making my own homemade body moisturizer, but I knew I needed to try it. I had received a 16 oz.bag of all natural unrefined Raw Shea Butter from Nami Naturals to review for my blog. I also received an E-Book that explains all about Shea Butter and its many wonders. The e-book also has some good recipes for making your own shea butter creations.

The Karite tree also called “Shea” produces a fruit that has the nut inside. Shea butter is made from those nuts. The e-book is very interesting and goes on to explain how this nut has been invaluable for the African people for centuries. In fact they use every part of the tree from the leaves and sap to the roots and bark. For lumber, food, medicine and more, nothing is wasted from this precious tree.

I am amazed by how nutrient rich this nut is. It contains fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. When used on the skin a good quality shea butter can-
help neutralize free radical damage
fade age spots
reduce fine lines and wrinkles
stimulate collagen production
When I finished the e-book and learned how incredible l and anti-aging shea butter is, I was ready to tackle making the shea butter recipe. Here is my recipe for some super fluffy whipped body butter.
Whipped Body Butter Recipe
1/2 Cup Nami Naturals Shea Butter
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
1/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Essential Oil Of Your Choice (optional)
In a glass bowl gently melt shea butter over a double boiler *do NOT microwave* on low heat or place the glass bowl of unmelted shea butter in a bigger bowl and then fill bigger bowl with hot water. *Do NOT overheat the oils, just enough to get the shea butter to start melting*
Add olive oil and coconut oil to the melted shea butter,
Put the glass bowl of oils in the refrigerator to chill. Oil must be chilled before you can whip it. Maybe 20 mins. until the top of the oil starts to become firm again, but not too hard. Remove from fridge.
Using the whisk attachment on your mixer, start whisking the oils. Stop and scrape down the edges of the bowl and make sure everything is evenly incorporated. The cold oil sorta sticks to the bowl.
Continue to whip the oil mixture and now you can start adding your essential oils. Add as many drops as you need to create the strength of the fragrance your are trying to achieve. Continue to whip the oil mixture. Your body butter should be starting to get fluffy by now.
Continue to wipe down the sides of the bowl and whip the body butter. You want to whip the butter for at least 20 or mins. Incorporate as much air into the whipped butter as you can. Just enjoy yourself. The more you whip the fluffier it will get. I can’t believe the texture it achieves. I just love touching it. I almost wanna eat it. It looks like super rich whipped cream.
Store your new body butter in a pretty glass airtight jar. I used the cutest little Ball Canning Jar to store mine in. I love using glass canning jars to storing everything in. My daughter made a beautiful little stitched cover for my jar. What a great gift this would make.
Nami Naturals is giving one lucky Gotta Chop reader a chance to win a 16 oz. bag of their own raw shea butter to create whatever you want. You can make your own whipped shea butter with the recipe I used or you may have a favorite recipe you have wanted to try.

If you are like me, you love a yummy chocolaty treat every once in awhile, and boy do I love almond butter cups! They are so creamy and chocolaty and just melt in your mouth. Before I went Paleo I used to be addicted to peanut butter cups. They were definitely a weakness of mine. I couldn’t stop until I ate almost the whole bag. I paid for that with skyrocketing blood sugar soars up into the 400’s mg/dl. I would feel so sick and be so sleepy I would be in bed the rest of the day trying to recover. High blood sugar is so hard on our bodies, read more here
Well, I finally found a solution– My Gotta Chop Paleo Almond Butter Cups!. Eating a Paleo diet has definitely saved my life, and probably my FEET. Being diabetic, nerve damage and poor blood circulation from high blood sugar is one of the reasons so many diabetics loose their feet and legs. I don’t want to be one of those people, so I decided to take control of my life again and start eating a clean healthy diet.
The reason that I made almond butter cups instead of peanut butter cups is because peanuts are not a Paleo friendly food. Peanuts are not nuts, but they are legumes and they contain phytic acid, lectin, and aflatoxins. Also, so many people have peanut allergies and problems with digesting them.
The Gotta Chop Paleo Almond Butter Cups Recipe contains organic and more healthy ingredients than those over-processed store bought candies with all their needless chemicals and they taste great too.
