I like using natural products in my home as much as possible, especially around my food. I was excited to try out Sagano’s Natural Activated Charcoal Odor Remover and Air Purifier. People have been using charcoal as a natural, renewable odor remover for many years.

I have been using my deodorizer/purifier in my fridge for over a week now and it seems to be doing a great job. I thought I would put it to the real test and see how it does with fresh-cut onion!

I put my freshly cut onion uncovered in the fridge. I went back later to check to see how it smells now in the refrigerator. When I opened the door I was surprised that I didn’t smell onion. I then opened the door to the freezer and could smell a slight onion aroma.

I removed the onion from the fridge and shut the door. I went back and checked the freezer later and no more onion smell at all on either the freezer or refrigerator side.

You can see in the picture above that there are air vents all over the container to let the air flow through the charcoal with ease.
